How is Your Attitude?

"A mocker seeks wisdom and never finds it, but knowledge comes easily to those with understanding." Proverbs 14:6 NLT

We all know mockers, people who scoff at every word of instruction or advice. They never find wisdom because they don't seek it seriously. Wisdom comes to those who apply God's Word to their lives and seek out godly counselors. If the wisdom you need does not come easily to you, perhaps your attitude is the barrier.

I've been witnessing to a young man who is at a very desperate point in his life. He is running from God as fast as he can, and yet he can't seem to grasp why every thing he does blows up in his face. After several weeks, I finally asked him if he would like to accept Christ into his heart and he told me no. He agrees with the things I tell him, but he isn't ready to let go of all the junk he carries around.

He claims he just can't. I cry out to God to reveal himself to this young man. I can't make the decision for anybody else to surrender their lives to Christ, no matter how badly I want to. So I pray that he would find his bottom and his attitude would change. The only thing keeping him from allowing Jesus to heal his broken life, is his attitude. Although he doesn't mock me, by rejecting such a great sacrifice made by Jesus, he is mocking him.

Please, I beg those of you reading this that are not right with God, click on one of the church links on this page. You will find information and people who are waiting to help you on this path to a new life. The Bible teaches that "today is the day of salvation," ask Jesus to forgive you of your sin and become the Lord of your life. He is waiting for you to simply ask. If you will repent of your sin (turn away from it) believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and confess with your mouth, then you will be saved.
