Free Indeed

So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Galatians 5:1 NLT

Praise God for the liberty, the true freedom, we find in Christ! One of the hardest people I've found to share my faith with, are people who have grown up in church, but never been saved. The reason I say this is because the first thing they say to me, is usually something like "I don't go to church anymore because I can't do...," Fill in the blank.
As Christian's, we've been set free from the law. That's not to say we aren't called to live a holy & righteous life, we are, but does holy & righteous mean legalism? I don't think it does. Is God really concerned with things like our outward appearance, tattoo's, piercings, women wearing make-up, Christians having a glass of wine with dinner..,or is He concerned with our heart? Jesus rebuked the pharisee's for cleaning the outside of the cup while leaving the inside filthy and full of corruption.
I give God all the glory for Jesus setting me free from the "that shalt not's," and moving me into the liberty of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against these things. Gal. 5:22
