God is Faithful

"Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever."
Psalm 23:6, NLT

What reassurance the scriptures give us! It is so calming to know that The Lord, is always faithful and true to his word, even when we aren't. When Jesus cried out on the cross, "it is finished," that is exactly what he meant. It was enough. Because of his sacrifice, we that have acepted him, have been bought with a price. Because of who he is, his goodness & mercy will follow me all the days of my life. Because of who he is, I will dwell with him forever. It has nothing to do with who I am or what I can do, because apart from his grace I am nothing.
That reassurance is why I have peace that surpasses all understanding. In the midst of all the chaos in my life, I have peace. In the midst of the trials & persecutions, I have joy.
I pray that everyone who reads this blog has met and come to know the Jesus I serve. He is awesome. In him I have found liberty, peace, hope, joy, forgiveness. In him I have found my identity. Through him I have learned how to really love others. Without him, I have nothing.
