No Worries

"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done."
Philippians 4:6, NLT

I've never been able to understand why people, especially Christians, waste their time worrying about things. Clearly Jesus taught us about how God takes care of the birds & clothes the flowers. He said not to be anxious about anything but trust that God will take care of your needs. Don't freak out on me here, I'm not pushing "Name it Claim it." I'm just saying to put your faith in the Lord and his promise to handle it.
I've seen people I care about worry themselves into an early grave. Did you know that worry equals fear. Fear is the exact opposite of faith. The Bible teaches us that it is impossible to please God without faith. I consider myself very fortunate that I've never really had a worry mode, I realized even before I came to the Lord that worrying didn't solve anything. The stress that comes with it usually just causes more problems, like ulcers or insomnia. Who needs that?
If you are having struggles in this area, or if it feels like everything could come crashing down in an instant, try casting your burdens upon the Lord. That's what he told us to do. Give him a chance to bring you relief. He never said he would take your cares from you, He said to cast them upon Him. If you will do your part, He promises to do His. God is faithful and never lies, put your trust in him. Read the Bible and find out for yourself what he hs pronised us. Read about his sacrifice he made, just so he could have a relationship with us, his children. He is so awesome, and he only wants what is best for us!
