Hold On

"Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise."

Hebrews 10:23, NLT

There is a new song they play on Air1 that says, "you've got to hold on help is coming." Sometimes it seems we're in this all alone, especially when faced with difficult circumstances. It's during these times when our faith is tested. Not because God wants to see if we're strong enough to withstand whatever it is we're going through, He already knows the outcome, it's so will see how much we have to depend on Him to get us through it.
This is why the writer was telling us to hold tightly without wavering. How do I hold on? That's between you and God, but here are some pretty good suggestions; When things are getting shaky begin to praise and worship Him until His peace fills your spirit. Pray in the Spirit and with your understanding, allow the Holy Spirit to be your comforter. Call one of your Christian brothers or sisters, and let them know what's up. Ask them to pray with you, there is power in transparency. Once the hard time has passed, it becomes part of your testimony. Revelation teaches us that we overcome by the blood of the lamb & the words of our testimony. God is faithful to fulfill all of his promises, and he wants you to succeed.
David wrote in psalms over and over that God is his shield, his strong tower, his fortress, his defender, his shepherd, his protector. He completely relied upon the Lord, because he knew that God would never leave nor forsake him. The Lord is everything to you and me, that he was for David. My bible says Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today & forever!!! Praise God! Without him, we are nothing. Without him, there is no hope.
