Praying for You

"And I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ's return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation - the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus - for this will bring much glory and praise to God." Philippians 1:9-11 NLT

That is why we persevere, to bring much glory and praise to God. Going to church on Sunday, is not what being a Christian is all about. It is about allowing the love of God, to flow through us. It's about living a pure and blameless life, so we can be a testimony of the life changing grace and mercy, that comes only from following Jesus. How can we expect a lost and dieing world to seek after the only chance at salvation, if we proclaim Christianity on Sunday and live like hell the rest of the week?
If you're not bearing this kind of fruit in your daily lives; love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Gal 5:22,23) then please spend some time alone with God. Repent of the old attitudes that have you bound. Allow the Holy Spirit to work on you heart and your mind. Jesus promised us peace that surpasses all understanding, no matter what our circumstances, and I know Jesus isn't a liar. Therefore, if we're not experiencing peace, maybe we should go back to the cross and examine our own hearts.
