God Loves a Cheerful Giver

Only, they asked us to remeber the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.
Galatians 2:10 ESV

As Paul traveled throughput the region planting church's, he always kept the heart of a servant. He understood that Jesus came to serve and he was trying to live life in a pleasing way to God. There had been a famine in Jerusalem and along with persecution from the Jews, the effects on the Jerusalem church were devastating. The Galatians had collected an offering to send back to them with Paul. This in itself was remarkable, but the lesson here is to be prepared to help the poor with a glad heart. No one forced them to give, they asked Paul if they could.
Wouldn't our cities be much better places if all Christians were like that? I don't think we would even need government handouts, food stamps or hardship assistance if the church was doing what we were called to do. What can you do in your area to help serve the poor?
Are you searching for a reason not to give up? Do you have a relationship with Jesus? If you would like to know more about becoming a Christian, or what a "Christian life" looks like, message me. You can also email me; rlwhitener01@gmail.com
Thanks for following along, may God richly bless you and yours as you follow your path to him.
