Daily Scripture

"Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life."

Proverbs 19:20, NLT

The Lord speaks to us very clearly through his word. I hear people say all the time that God doesn't speak to them. I have to ask, "when was the last time you opened your Bible?" No matter what area of my life I need direction for, I can find the answer in the scriptures. I love to read the word of God, as I know many of you do as well.
My problem is that no matter how plain the passage of scripture may be, I tend to still lean on my own understanding until I've gotten everything completely screwed up. Am I the only one? Let's take the above verse for instance. How often do we ask for advice from people we trust and respect, then go right out and do the exact opposite.
Are you a Christian? Have you been saved? Let me share the very best advice ever given to mankind;

Peter replied, " Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, and your children, and even to the Gentiles - all who have been called by the Lord our God." Acts 2:38-39

If you've never taken anyone's advice before in your life, this is the time to start!! This is the plan of salvation, the only way to spend eternity with your creator.
