A few years ago, when I was still very young in the Lord, I purchased a Tee-shirt with this written on it. A cartoon character was rolling in laughter. I thought it was kind of cool, but really had no clue how much meaning was in it.
Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.
Gen 18:14
"Is anything too hard for the LORD?" The obvious answer is, "Of course not!" The thing about Sarah, for those of you who are new to the Bible, is that she was an old woman. Way beyond child bearing. However God had promised Abraham that he would father many nations. Kind of a hard one to really believe, but the bible tells us he did believe, and it was counted for him righteousness.
So this question reveals much about the character of God. Make it a habit to insert your specific needs into the question. Asking the question this way reminds you that God is personally involved in your life and nudges you to ask his power to help you.
